Good fodder for our maiden blog came last week with the Wine Spectator’s feature on Sebastiani Vineyards sale calling it an “End of an Era” for the Sebastiani Family.

Anyone who works for us (or anyone in earshot of my office) knows that I was less than pleased by that headline.

We will sell more than 18,000,000 bottles of wine this year, and Don Sebastiani & Sons today is several times the size of Sebastiani Vineyards (and has been for several years).

A more accurate article would have featured the headline “Dawn of a New Era”. There are some dynamic things going on over here that readers of the Spectator will be missing out on…

Looking forward to my next post. And also hearing from my brother, Blogust. Love to hear everyone else’s comments too…
